Yves Edwards is a legend in the world of Mixed Martial Arts. He began his professional MMA career in 1997 in the World Pankration Championships 1. Known for being one of the first "well-rounded" fighters, Yves won 16 of his fights with knockouts, 17 by submission and 9 by decision. Having fought in nearly every event possible including Extreme Challenge, HookNShoot, SuperBrawl, and KOTC, Yves made his UFC debut against Matt Serra in UFC 33. He would continue to fight in the UFC and other organization such as Pride Fighting Championship, Shogun, WEC, BodogFights, EliteXC, Bellator and Strikeforce. He retired from professional fighting in 2014 with a career record of 42 wins and 22 losses.
Since his retirement Yves has kept busy in movies and TV. His credits include both stunt work and acting in movies such as "Alita: Battle Angel", "The Equalizer 2", "Straight Outta Compton", "Olympus Has Fallen", "Ballers" (TV), "Warrior", and "Westworld" (TV). He was also a commentator for the Professional Fight League and has been a sports analyst for Fox Sports.
Private Lessons with Yves
Private Classes with Yves Edwards run one hour fifteen to one hour forty-five minutes consisting of 60-75 minutes of instruction and drilling followed by up to 30 minutes of live rolls. Students can plan the group larger sessions together and practice the techniques shown with a variety of opponents or the smaller group or individual sessions and have Yves focus solely on improving your game. The technique portion of the lesson is focused on specific techniques/scenarios the students request prior to class.
